Confirmation, also called Affirmation of Baptism, is the time when young people declare for themselves that they will live out the promises made for them by their parents and sponsors in their baptism.

At baptism, parents and sponsors promise: “… to live with them among God’s faithful people, bring them to the word of God and the holy supper, teach them the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed and the Ten Commandments, place in their hands the holy Scriptures, and nurture them in faith and prayer, so that your children may learn to trust God, proclaim Christ through word and deed, care for others and the world God made, and work for justice and peace.”

Through exploration of faith in church and our lives, we are prepared to boldly and confidently live out our faith in our church and the world!

7th & 8th Grade
Confirmation is the core of the Jr. High ministry. We will be meeting together on alternating Wednesday nights from 7 - 8pm in Tempe (fall) and Gilbert (spring).  As in years past, parent involvement is paramount to our values. Students are also invited to attend Campformation summer camp.

9th Grade
Students complete Confirmation during 9th grade with a year of SERVICE. This year we are going have our students participate in several service projects, as well as ask that each 9th grade student also participate in serving during one (or more!) worship service. They will also be asked to write a "Faith Paper", which will have them discuss their journey in service throughout the year. Students are Confirmed on Reformation Sunday of their 10th grade year.
